Remote desktop software are dedicated software or builtin OS features, which allows to run graphical applications remotely. It is useful to access your PC at work from your Smartphone, tablet or home computer. It can also be used to do remote administration. Some software also allow to broadcast a screen to several client computers to make remote formation or web conferencing easier.
Remote desktop is usually split in two parts:
- one side to share the screen: the server
- the side which receive the screen and can optionnaly control it: the client
The server could be your computer at work, and the client might be your smartphone, your tablet or your home computer. If you want to control your computer from a tablet or smartphone, you need to check if the software you are looking for support checking the "Client platforms" section.

These prices are out of date. We use RemoteToPC: remotetopc.com A lot like LogMeIn Central, but without the ever rising prices.
i like use litemanager for free remote control
Ammyy Admin is definitely on of the best.
You can also try free remote desktop software AeroAdmin aeroadmin.com No monthly fees, free for commercial use. It might be a good alternative though!
You should add NoMachine (nomachine.com) to your list. Wikipedia is out-of-date if you are using that as the basis of your comparison. NoMachine ticks all those boxes, except for the Android/iOS client which is coming in December 2013.
Any plans to add NetSupport Manager to the list?
When I was investigating remote access and support options, I made a similar (but much less impressive) chart like yours... And I found that RHUB's appliance was what I had been looking for... It's got everything I need in one device, and it's only a one-time cost.
Very useful comparison! Some or may be Bomgar only, require additional hardware on the server side. May I suggest to include a row like implementation: software, hardware? And chance to include TightVNC?
AetherPal was deleted by me. Could someone restore the same, My bad.
