Though i tend to move to symfony2 if Yii cannot release Yii 2.0 soon with the RESTful controller, it's still the one my company builds on products on and I definitely love Yii. The problem is HTML5 is around the corner in term of getting framework builders focus and the whole application architecture is changing, toward client side. Yii and Symfony2 are the only 2 frameworks i think would be able to adapt with this move.
Great framework. Feature packed with expressive syntax. Added bonus, Eloquent ORM is a pleasure to use.
Easy to learn, has very clean and short syntax, lightweight, not bloated, flexible and easy to extend.
nice framework well featured cli model generations a big plus

I'm guessing this is a popularity comparison more than a technical overview.
I'm guessing this isn't a comparison based on technical merits but more on popularity. So the no-brainers do most of the votes.
