The new BBC Micro:bit released in 2020 comes with more computing power. It can now sense and react to sound with a built-in microphone and play sound with a built-in speaker. The new micro:bit has now a capacitive touch sensor to complement the buttons. The new micro:bit also now supports a power saving mode to limit power consumption.
