Many features missing, many features need external plugins which would be hard to keep track of/etc.

  • AMarino on 2015-07-16 18:06:19

No custom task status, tasks can't be moved between projects or task lists.

  • AMarino on 2015-07-16 17:59:42

Gives a pretty complete overview, but nothing that shows 'at a glance' how the project is doing in terms of any timeline/etc.

  • AMarino on 2015-07-16 17:47:46

Can make templates from an existing project, or from scratch

Great work and compilation !! I would like to recommend Proofhub (proofhub.com) – best Collaboration & project management software. It is a complete solution that makes project scheduling a easy job with interactive gantt chart, to-do's, sub tasks, label, notes; Along with project scheduling & tracking, it also offers inbuilt browser chat, proofing, file sharing and google apps integration.

Nodoubt, Basecamp is good but it lacks important features like time tracking, private messages and integration with google. Have you tried proofhub? Features like time tracking, casper (hidden) mode, to-do's, discussions make it awesome. So, you don't miss anything.

I have used Basecamp and find that it lacks many important features like time tracking, inbuilt browser chat, proofing tool and casper mode until I came across Proofhub (proofhub.com), really nice alternative to Basecamp. It provides to-do's, milestones, file sharing, inbuilt browser chat, proofing tool, casper mode to discuss with clients, really helpful if one team is located offshore. Prices are comparitively much less than Basecamp.
