    I like the fact that the pricing model is not based on "per user" , but rather "# of projects". Also, I use their templates feature.

    Many features missing, many features need external plugins which would be hard to keep track of/etc.

    Nodoubt, Basecamp is good but it lacks important features like time tracking, private messages and integration with google. Have you tried proofhub? Features like time tracking, casper (hidden) mode, to-do's, discussions make it awesome. So, you don't miss anything.

  • I have used Basecamp and find that it lacks many important features like time tracking, inbuilt browser chat, proofing tool and casper mode until I came across Proofhub (, really nice alternative to Basecamp. It provides to-do's, milestones, file sharing, inbuilt browser chat, proofing tool, casper mode to discuss with clients, really helpful if one team is located offshore. Prices are comparitively much less than Basecamp.
