Resource management- Rudimentary in Basecamp. The new basecamp does not support time tracking which really kills resource management. However, roadmap, which bi-directionally links with Basecamp, does an excellent job of this.

I like the fact that the pricing model is not based on "per user" , but rather "# of projects". Also, I use their templates feature.

    rated this Item: Rating 2/5

Many features missing, many features need external plugins which would be hard to keep track of/etc.

rated this Item: Agile support 1/5

No custom task status, tasks can't be moved between projects or task lists.

rated this Item: Project status overview 3/5

Gives a pretty complete overview, but nothing that shows 'at a glance' how the project is doing in terms of any timeline/etc.

rated this Item: Project/Task Templating 5/5

Can make templates from an existing project, or from scratch

Nodoubt, Basecamp is good but it lacks important features like time tracking, private messages and integration with google. Have you tried proofhub? Features like time tracking, casper (hidden) mode, to-do's, discussions make it awesome. So, you don't miss anything.

Basecamp sets the standard for ease of use and also importantly in data sharing with other applications. It would even be better if they told developers when they change their API!
